Having represented insurance companies in the past, I know how challenging even simple claims can be.  So when my husband needed to file a disability claim, I hoped for the best, but was not overly optimistic that it would be a simple, straightforward process.  Unfortunately, I was right.  From my very first contact with the insurance company, I knew that they were going to do everything in their power to avoid paying.  It was apparent that they already had an information-gathering system in place designed to hone in on and exploit any perceived weaknesses.  And, while I had some understanding of what an insurer might do to deny a claim, I lacked a full understanding of the tactics used in the context of a disability claim. I talked to several other attorneys, but they all said that they didn’t practice in this particular area or that my husband’s claim was too complicated.  Then I reached out to Ed Comitz, and from our first call, it was clear that Ed was extraordinarily knowledgeable about disability claims, that he knew the insurance company’s playbook, and that he knew how to get results.  He took the time to talk me through everything, and I could tell that he genuinely cared.
